Last updated:

Binnel Studios in St Lawrence will once again open its doors for its exclusive annual Summer Exhibition this August Bank Holiday weekend.

The Summer Exhibition takes place on Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August 2025 – open daily between 11am – 4pm.

Now in its eleventh year, the event offers the only chance in 2025 to explore the studios of its seven resident artists. Visitors can expect a rare behind-the-scenes look at their creative processes and a chance to view – and buy – new work.

Seven artists, one weekend
The resident artists taking part this year are Molly Attrill, Matthew Chambers, Jane Cox, Sue Paraskeva, Sadie Tierney, Amanda Wheeler and Celia Wilkinson.

Each artist will showcase new pieces, ranging from ceramics and porcelain to paintings and printmaking. Many of the artists exhibit internationally and have work in prestigious collections, making the exhibition a notable fixture in the Island’s cultural calendar.

Varied styles and fresh work
Molly Attrill presents stoneware and maiolica pottery, fresh from a major commission for a client in Morocco. Matthew Chambers offers new ceramic sculptures and vessels alongside news of upcoming international shows.

Jane Cox brings earthenware with vibrant glazes, inspired by her surroundings at Binnel. Sue Paraskeva expands her porcelain practice with new two-dimensional fire-created works.

Sadie Tierney exhibits paintings and prints exploring Island landscapes and the fleeting beauty of cherry blossom. Amanda Wheeler shares paintings inspired by the Island’s changing skies and coastlines. Celia Wilkinson introduces still life works alongside her semi-abstract landscapes.
