Pupils:

Carisbrooke CE Primary School is a ‘Good’ School say Ofsted

Thanks to Deputy Headteacher at Carisbrooke CE Primary School, Mark Richards, for this fantastic news following their recent Ofsted Inspection. Ed

Children, parents, staff and governors were thrilled this week after their Ofsted report was published.

The new Ofsted framework has certainly raised the bar for all schools, and so the school is delighted to have been judged as “Good” in all four categories of Achievement of Pupils, Quality of Teaching, Behaviour and Safety and Leadership and Management.

“Very strong team”
Since the last inspection, the school has continued to improve under the Headteacher Katherine Marshall and Deputy Headteacher Mark Richards. The report praises them for “being a very strong team”.

It praised the achievement throughout the school by saying that all groups of children are achieving above age-related expectations and that “teaching is good and improvements have been made since the previous inspection.”

“Pupils enjoy coming to school and enjoy learning”
The report praises the behaviour of children commenting that they are “Well mannered, polite and play sensibly and responsibly on the playground. Pupils say there is little bullying of any kind in the school and they enjoy coming to school and learning.”

The Reception classes got a special mention quoting that “the learning environment was exciting and strongly promoted language development.”

Katherine Marshall, Headteacher said,

“I feel proud and privileged to lead a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff and governors, who work tirelessly and passionately for the children of Carisbrooke.

“Our children are a credit to us and I can’t express in words how proud they make me feel on a daily basis.”
