Ventnor resident, Peter Higgin, has completed an extraordinary challenge, running 100 miles in just three days from the Isle of Wight to Wembley.
He took on the feat to raise £25,000 for Punchdrunk Enrichment, the charity he co-founded in 2008 to take innovative, immersive theatre practice into schools and communities. He is the pioneer of Punchdrunk Enrichment’s groundbreaking approach to education, introducing immersive learning experiences into classrooms around the world.
Supporting Island and London causes
Peter has chosen to share 20 per cent of the money raised between several organisations close to his heart.
Funds will go to:
- Ventnor Exchange CIC, a not-for-profit cultural hub nurturing young creative talent;
- The Bay CE School, where Peter serves as Chair of Governors;
- Ventnor Youth Football Club, where he also coaches; and
- Daniel’s Den, a London-based parent and toddler charity that supports family life and stronger communities.
Championing creativity
Throughout his career, Peter has dedicated himself to demonstrating how creativity can transform young lives.
As he steps away from his role at Punchdrunk Enrichment after 17 years, this 100-mile fundraising run served as his parting gift to help secure the organisation’s future.
Those who wish to support Peter’s efforts can donate via Pete’s Givestar page.
Well done Pete, an amazing achievement.
