Isle of Wight Road Races: Motor Race Order now submitted to IW Council

Just a couple of days after the Isle of Wight TT Diamond Races was due to take place, there’s an announcement from Isle of Wight Road Races.

On Tuesday they posted the following message to their social media accounts,

“Significant day for the Isle of Wight Road Races. Our application for a Motor Race Order has been submitted to the Isle of Wight Council along with the Permit issued by the ACU. Six months now until the event.

“Great to have Steve Plater back on the Island with us yesterday. It was a bit wet and windy to be looking at the Chale course, but we’ve been able to move along our planning for the paddock area at Atherfield.

“Thanks for that Steve and to the Wight Mouse Inn for providing a bit of shelter!”

Where and when
The motorcycle races are due to take place on 20th-23rd April 2022 – near the end of the school Easter holidays.

The ‘Chale’ circuit runs for approximately 12.4 miles using closed public roads through Chale, Chale Green, Kingston, Shorwell, Limerstone, Brighstone and is connected by a long section of the Military Road via Atherfield.
