Proposal to extend former brewery buildings for new dwelling

Plans have been submitted to Isle of Wight council to extend a former brewery office and bottling hall that has been granted permission to convert to a dwelling.

The former brewery offices and bottling hall (Goddards) has already been granted Change of Use permission to become a dwelling (21/00870/FUL) and the applicant would now like to extend the existing building to provide space for an additional bedroom, bathroom and double garage.

Recognised for restoration work
During their 30+ years at Barnsley Farm, the applicants have restored the Grade II listed farmhouse and a derelict set of farm buildings on the site.

The Isle of Wight Society have awarded them a Commendation for the sympathetic restoration work carried out.

You can see the before and after photos below which show the extent of the restoration work.

Minimal alterations
The only alterations required to the existing building is new roof and the replacement of two pairs of access doors with French windows. The applicants say the proposed extension is intended to closely match the existing building.
