The St Helens Historical Society begin their new season on Thursday (17th September 2026) with a talk by local resident, Kim Joyce, reflecting on his life as a stage and TV actor, nightclub comedian, singer and director.
All are welcome.
A career on stage and screen
Kim’s credits range from Shakespeare and Shaw to ’Allo, ’Allo, and he’s worked with such diverse talents as Sir John Gielgud, Jim Davidson, Sandy Powell and Dolly Parton.
He has extensive experience as a director and choreographer in Britain, Europe, and the Middle East.
His numerous TV credits include ‘House of Eliott’, ‘Casualty’, and ‘Strange But True’. He also toured with the hit musical ‘Buddy’.
Where and when
The venue for the talk is the Community Centre, Guildford Road, St Helens PO33 1UH, and the meeting will begin at 7.30pm.
Entrance is free to members, £3 to non-members – cash only please.
There will be refreshments, raffle, and the opportunity to join the St Helens Historical Society: membership is £10, giving free entry to all speaker events for the rest of the season 2026/27.
