Wight Nature Fund’s (WNF) Biosphere Festival photo competition was won by Zoe Arnold with her stunning depiction of ‘A Squirrel’s eye view of Mill Copse’.
She was presented with her prize, a framed A3 copy of her photo, by Deputy Mayor Gill Head, at the end of the day’s events at Community Hall of Yarmouth and District (CHOYD) and Mill Copse.
Conservation work in Mill Copse
Yarmouth Town Council has supported WNF since it began conservation work in Mill Copse in 1993.
During the day at Mill Copse there was a Family Scavenger Hunt , followed by a guided walk in the afternoon.
Wildlife Photo Exhibition
At CHOYD, there was an all-day Wildlife Photo Exhibition by WNF Trustee, Terence Hart, together with Heritage memories and photos of Mill Copse, a plant quiz and a display by the Red Squirrel Trust.

It was especially fitting that the winner, Zoe Arnold, appears in one of the Yarmouth School Picnic Heritage photos taken in Mill Copse in 1993.
