You’ll have to ignore the first two events, because they took place yesterday, but lots of music events were given a mention, including Headfunk at Blacksheep Bar or Cozy Flashbak at The Fountain Inn in Cowes.

Also we give you the heads up of a great place to buy something arty at the Boojum and Snark Wonderland Collection. It featuring the likes of Matthew Chambers, Lisa Traxler, Tim Johnson, Jason Heap, Sue Paraskeva, Emma Seymour and Hilary Hayton.

Saturday night and the live music continues when four bands battle it out in the first heat of the Live Wired competition at the Wight Rock Bar.

On Monday it’s your last chance this year to catch the Lost Years Trio at the Spyglass Inn. Newchurch Male Voice Choir will doing a charity concert at All Saints in Newchurch.
