The Roy Dennis Foundation have been tracking the White-tailed Eagle since he left the Island in 2019 and are hopeful that his return means he will start breeding here in 2-3 years
In August 2019 three pairs of juvenile White-Tailed Eagles (Sea Eagles) were released on the Isle of Wight, as part of a programme to restore this lost species to the South of the UK.
In summer 2020, seven more were released. In 2021 another 12 were released on the Island.
In 2024 another eight were released on the Island.
