The council insist they're still in the early stages, but Cllr Garratt says they've had plenty of time to get on the doorsteps and talk to the residents who will be affected by possible road layout changes.
Isle of Wight council will be carrying out a significant junction transformation at St Mary’s Roundabout starting Autumn 2019.
The works are expected to take 15 months to complete and will result in the removal of the roundabout and replacing it with a series of traffic lights.
The controversial scheme has been met with great opposition, with the Conservative ward councillor, Matthew Price, even opposing it.
