Two requests for a public briefing have been refused by the Isle of Wight council and this week Parish councillors voted overwhelmingly for impending St Mary's Junction improvements to be be halted.
Isle of Wight council will be carrying out a significant junction transformation at St Mary’s Roundabout starting Autumn 2019.
The works are expected to take 15 months to complete and will result in the removal of the roundabout and replacing it with a series of traffic lights.
The controversial scheme has been met with great opposition, with the Conservative ward councillor, Matthew Price, even opposing it.
