The list is the outcome of a two-year study carried out by the Centre for Economic and Business Research and the Royal Mail and considered a range of factors for the top ten list.
The council say that infrastructure funding will help attract private sector investment – and estimates it could "eventually create around 550 long-term jobs and 20 during the construction phases".
A public consultation has opened for two coastal areas off the Isle of Wight to become Marine Conservation Zones. It's proposed the areas become part of 41 ‘blue belt’ sites.

The new curriculum will include boat-building, including specifications and designing prototypes; navigation electronics; celestial navigation; tides; admiralty chart conventions; shipping forecasts; practical boat-handling skills; and attending Cowes Regatta to celebrate the production of boats.
The purchase of the sites will be funded by regeneration funds, approved by the council in its budget for 2019/20, but is subject to being able to agree a purchase price with Homes England.
