Freemasons donate over £3,000 to six Island worthy causes

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Masonic Grand Charity, ‘The Tom Langton Fund’, has approved grants totalling £3,050 to worthy causes on the Island:

Newport IW Boxing Club £550 (Sponsored by West Wight 8570 in Freshwater)
Headway IW £500 (Sponsored by Spithead 6719 in Seaview)
National Coast Watch Needles West Wight 8570 £500 (Sponsored by West Wight 8570 in Freshwater)
T.S. Osborne Cowes Sea Cadets £500 (Sponsored by Medina 35 in West Cowes)
Island Women’s Refuge £500 (Sponsored by East Medina 175 in Ryde)
Holy Cross Church Binstead £500 (Sponsored by Vectensian 7852 in Ryde)

The award cheques were presented at the Cowes Masonic Centre Open Day on Saturday, 6th July. All recipients and sponsoring Lodges were represented.

The Tom Langton Fund
The Tom Langton Fund has recently made grants totalling £17,500 to help numerous charities supporting vulnerable people, including those with disabilities, disadvantaged children, youth organisations, local churches and associations across the Masonic Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Since it was established in 1985, grants of £576,536 have been made to over 1200 charities and deserving causes.
