The Isle of Wight’s premier green technology exhibition will return to Newport Quay and Riverside Centre on 31st August 2025.
Organised by Wight Community Energy, the Going Electric show builds on three successful previous events that attracted dozens of Island businesses and nearly 1,000 visitors.
Comprehensive green technology showcase
The exhibition will feature all the Island’s main automotive dealers alongside the biggest local green energy installers. Visitors will discover the latest electric cars, vans and bikes on display throughout the venue.
The show will also showcase solar panels, heat pumps, and charging solutions from local suppliers. Car care specialists and driver training experts will complete the comprehensive range of exhibitors.
Return of the Lecture Hall Programme
The 2025 event will feature the return of the Going Electric Lecture Hall Speakers programme.
The speaking programme will run three distinct sessions throughout the day, each focusing on different aspects of the energy transition.
Transport electrification panel
The first session runs from 11am to 12pm and will examine transport electrification trends.
A panel discussion will uncover the latest developments in how the Island’s transport systems are adapting to electric power.
Built environment energy focus
The second presentation takes place from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, with a specific focus on energy efficiency.
Guest speakers will address energy efficiency improvements in the built environment during this session.
Energy transition insights
The final lecture hall session runs from 2pm to 3pm and takes a broader perspective.
Experts from various fields will provide insights to guide attendees through the coming energy transition.
Explore the latest developments in sustainable technology
The Going Electric show offers Islanders a comprehensive opportunity to explore the latest developments in sustainable technology and learn from industry experts about the future of green energy on the Isle of Wight.
Entrance is free, and nearby parking at County Hall and Seaclose car parks are both free for the day, disabled parking will be available at the Riverside Centre itself.
