Additional motion
Following the vote, Cllr Chris Jarman raised a ‘motion without notice’ calling for the DIPS to be updated with accurate information from ONS 2021 Census data and “be taken back to committee correctly reflecting the actual and urgent needs of our Island”.

However, the meeting was called to an end a couple of minutes later just before 9pm, without the motion being discussed or voted upon.

According to the council’s Constitution there is no ability to extend an Extraordinary meeting, as would have happened had it been a standard Full Council meeting.
