Isle of Wight Open Studios 2026 registration opens for artists this week

Isle of Wight Open Studios will open artist registration for its 2026 event on Wednesday 26th November 2025.

The organisation invites creatives from across the Island to join one of the Isle of Wight’s most celebrated cultural events.

The 2026 event will run from 15th to 25th May 2026, bringing together artists, makers and creative practitioners from every corner of the Island.

Chance to explore Island’s creative talent
The event offers the public a unique chance to step inside working studios, meet local artists, and explore the Island’s creative talent through exhibitions, pop-ups and collaborative spaces.

Organisers will build on the success of IWOS 2025, which saw over 150 participating artists take part and an estimated 9,500 people visit studios during the 11-day programme.

Feedback from visitors and artists highlighted the value of Open Studios in strengthening community connection, supporting wellbeing, and encouraging residents and visitors to explore the Island in new ways.

Registration details
Registration closes at midnight on Sunday 1st February 2026.

The event welcomes all artists, makers and creative practitioners living or working on the Isle of Wight.

Solo studios, shared studios, pop-up venues, community spaces and group exhibitions can all take part, with each participant needing to register their details individually.

Map and directory to return
Artists will register via the IWOS website once the sign-up portal launches.

The promotional campaign, interactive online map, and popular Island-wide printed Artist Directory will all return for 2026.

Organisers plan a number of improvements informed by this year’s feedback.

The website contains details for artists without studios or those interested in hosting an artist at their venue during the event, with information on how to contact local area representatives.

Volunteer-led cultural movement
A small team of volunteers runs IWOS, supported by a wider network of Island creatives.

The event continues to grow in scale, reach and ambition, playing a vital role in supporting local artists, boosting the visitor economy, and promoting cultural participation across the Island.

IWOS Co-Director Georgia Newman said,

“Open Studios is one of the highlights of the Island’s creative calendar.

“It’s a chance to celebrate our amazing artists, open up hidden creative spaces, and welcome people into the heart of our cultural community.

“We’re excited to announce the registration dates and look forward to another brilliant year.”
