Forestry England have launched a short film exploring the reintroduction of White-tailed Eagles on the Isle of Wight.
The film is the first in a new three-part series, released on social media via the @seaeagleengland account on Instagram and X.
Behind the scenes of a conservation project
This new series aims to provide a behind-the-scenes look at how the team works to support the birds and monitor their progress.
It also highlights the positive effect the eagles are having on people’s connection to the natural world.
Eagles return to the South of England
The project began in August 2019 when three pairs of juvenile White-tailed Eagles—also known as sea eagles—were released on the Island.
Since then, the team has released 37 of these iconic birds, in an effort to restore a species that was previously lost from southern England.
