RSPCA Isle of Wight, is delighted to announce the appointment of Maggie Lloyd as its new Chair of Trustees.
With an extensive background in veterinary care and animal welfare, Maggie brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the role, with over 35 years as a veterinary surgeon.
As Chair, she will work closely with the Board of Trustees and senior management team to guide the charity’s strategic direction and support its vital work.
Lloyd: Truly honoured
Maggie said,
“I am truly honoured to take on the role of Chair at the RSPCA Isle of Wight.
“This organisation makes a real difference to the lives of the Island’s vulnerable animals every year, and I look forward to working with our dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters to build on that success.
“Together, we will continue to ensure that every animal receives the care, compassion and second chance they deserve.”

Steve Backhouse, Branch Director of RSPCA Isle of Wight, welcomed the appointment, saying,

Independent charity
Founded in the 1950s, RSPCA Isle of Wight is an independent charity, supporting the work of the RSPCA national society at a local level.
The charity provides professional animal rescue, veterinary care, rehabilitation and rehoming or release to the wild. All monies raised on the Island support the Island Animal Centre, near Rookley.
