Passion and enthusiasm for helping others leads to surprise High Sheriff Award for Aspire Ryde Volunteer

The High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, James Attrill DL visited Aspire Ryde on Friday 25th February to present a High Sheriff’s Award to Aspire volunteer, Meme Cullen.

Friends and colleagues gathered to witness the presentation which had been kept a secret from Meme until the moment it was made.

Her passion and enthusiasm for helping others shines through
A somewhat surprised Meme listened as her work was described and the High Sheriff set out the reasons for the award. He spoke of meeting Meme on a previous visit and noted the way her passion and enthusiasm for helping others shone through.

Meme herself thanked the High Sheriff and those present and was keen to thank her colleagues in the creative hub for their support and help in delivering the service.

Aspire Ryde Chief Executive, Trevor Nicholas, said,
