The Isle of Wight Council say the document will give a better understanding of the housing market on the Island and housing in the future.
Barry Abraham was elected as Conservative Isle of Wight ward councillor for Wootton Bridge in May 2017.
He had previously been Cabinet member for Fire and Rescue Service during the 2009-2013 Conservative administration.
