Every dreamed of owning a toilet that’s truly a work of art? – well now’s your chance.

Four of the unique artist-decorated toilets that have been the centrepiece of a campaign to get people talking about bowel cancer are going up for auction and will help raise funds for Mountbatten Hospice.
The toilets have been popping up in various locations on the Island including in their very own ‘Loovre’ exhibition at Quay Arts, DepARTment in Ryde and most recently at Independent Arts in Newport.
It has all been part of a campaign ‘Your Loo Could Save You’ designed to raise awareness of bowel cancer and encourage people to spot the signs and symptoms early and contact their GP practice.
Symptoms like:
- Blood in your poo or bleeding from your bottom
- Changes in your bowel habits
- Feeling a lot more tired than usual
- Losing weight without even trying
- Frequent pain and/or lump in your tummy
- Feeling breathless
As the campaign draws to a close next month, organisers One Wight Health – the federation of GPs on the Island are looking to auction the loos and help raise funds to help continue the incredible work carried out by Mountbatten on the Island.
